If you are new to New Eden, there is a lot of information you may want to get your stuff going.
Can-¦t i just shoot people in the face? You may ask, and *yes* shall be the answer. However, if you want to shoot people in the face and gain something from it other than the satisfaction of the kill, it-¦s important to know a lot of information on the equipment and tactics you use, the market availability of this, and the same thing from your oponents.
Is your contract target backed by some capsuller alliance? Are they at their full capacity, or spread thin on multiple fronts? Are there any market restrictions or price speculation deniying you access to your favorite fit, or that special one to counter your specific contract?
Before you are able to shoot someone in the face, you need your gear. And your gear to get in your hands, have a lot of processes going on. (Gathering of materials - Research on BP - Manufacture of BP - Logistics and transportation to market hub - Price war). This may affect you more than you think.
For those that want more than being a grunt (and again, nothing against it) information is power. And power wins battles.
Seeing that after the opening of the Beta for EVE Players, there is already an influx of Alliance Propaganda going on, (looking right at you), i-¦ll share *several* news sources for your pleasure. Don-¦t fall for a *one site rules them all*, because all of them are biased towards the preferences of the writer, and several wars are won because the first front, the Perception one, was conquered.
Read a lot, make your pick, an don-¦t get one sourced on stuff. You are being manipulated as you read this, so get more sources to get a broader perspective on stuff going on.
You may of course, ignore all this, and be a happy target too. (We need those for the laughs)
Please help this topic with your own recommendations, i-¦m merely adressing the sites that i know, and would be glad to have more bibliography available. (Write your references and i-¦ll post them)
EVE News 24 - Mostly terrible writing, but it-¦s a place you can send your own article, so it-¦s quite democratic.
